Mac N’ Brewz is perfect for national Mac n’ Cheese Day!

Posted: 07/15/16

If Tuesday’s National Mac n’ Cheese day left you hungry for more, head to Mac N’ Brewz! for a bowl. This restaurant just opened up in its new midtown location on the corner of Warren and Cass in February. Mac N’ Brewz! is the most recent addition to the ‘Sweet Lorraine’s Fabulous Mac n’ Cheez’ franchise owned by Chef Lorraine Platman and Gary Sussman.

It began when Chef Lorraine was in the 5th grade and she made Mac n’ Cheese with her Girl Scout Troop. Over the years, she experimented with various Mac n’ Cheese recipes until she found the right “Ooey Gooey” texture for the cheese sauce. Chef Lorraine opened her first “Sweet Lorraine’s Fabulous Mac n’ Cheez!” in Auburn Hills, Michigan in 2010 and five new locations followed, including one in Illinois.

The manager of the newest location on Warren and Cass, Mike McGraw, takes a lot of pride in his job at Mac N’ Brewz!. He takes pride in ensuring that the majority of the products are organic with little to no preservatives. There are over 14 different types of Macaroni and Cheese on the menu, along with salads, wraps and homemade “spirits”.

Oatmeal and the breakfast wrap are the newest additions to the menu. It’s convenient for those looking for some extra morning energy, especially with Wayne State University’s campus within walking distance. Another convenience about Mac N’ Brewz! in Midtown, is that they host parties, showers and they also cater.

Mac N’ Brewz! is located at 4870 Cass at the intersection of Warren and Cass. They are open seven days a week. For more information, visit MacnCheez.com or call 313-782-4180.
