Motor City Brewing Hosts “An Electro-Operatic Adventure”

On August 6, Motor City Brewing will host an event entitled “An Electro-Operatic Adventure, an intimate opera that allows the audience to engage with the performers.” This event will incorporate pieces from Mozart, Delibes, Bizet and Verdi performed by Opera MODO, and sampled and remixed by John Collins, a member of Detroit’s Underground Resistance, (UR) a music collective of electronic artists and musicians founded in the late 1980s.

Opera MODO was founded in 2011 to create a “once in a lifetime listening and participatory adventures as it specializes in setting a standard repertoire in an un-traditional and imaginative setting which brings new life to stories.

Admission is $12 per person which includes a special product sample from Motor City Brewing Works for attendees over 21 years of age. An Electro-Operatic Adventure will perform at 441 W. Canfield Street, Detroit, MI 48202. Be engaged and get informed! Join M-1 RAIL as we host the March Community Advisory Council Meeting Thursday, March 9, 2017, at Triumph Church’s East Campus. The countdown to M-1 RAIL passenger ridership is on and there will be some adjustments to how you navigate the corridor. Please join M-1 RAIL for an important community conversation to learn about QLINE operations, testing schedule and the launch of our public safety education campaign.

This special CAC meetings will cover driving, cycling and walking along the Woodward Corridor, as we all now share the road. There will be a light dinner served and children’s activities will be available. There will also be sign language interpretation services available for community members who are deaf or hard of hearing. This meeting is open to ALL.
