Paper applications for Transdev Operator positions are now available!

The construction of the QLINE streetcar, led by M-1 RAIL, which has taken over Woodward for the last two years is coming to an end. As M-1 RAIL looks toward the future of operations in the spring of 2017, operations partner Transdev has begun the hiring process for permanent QLINE operating staff. Currently, they are seeking candidates to fill positions as both Streetcar Operators and Vehicle Maintenance Technicians. Operators will start at $15 dollars per hour during training and once hired, will be paid $16 dollars per hour. Technicians will be paid $24 dollars per hour during training, with a raise to $25 per hour once training is completed. Both positions are full time and offer a comprehensive benefits package.

All applicants must meet the following job requirements:

  • Have a High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Possess a valid Michigan Driver’s License
  • Must possess a CDL, Class A License
  • Must pass Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination including random drug and alcohol screens
  • Must be at least 21 years of age

Applications are currently being accepted until Wednesday, November 23, 2016.  Interested applicants may visit one of the QLINE Career Information Community Sites beginning Monday, October 24, 2016 to pick up and drop off hard copies of the application or access a computer lab to fill out the online version via the Transdev website.
