Vietnamese food lovers rejoice! The Cong Nguyen family is bringing their signature friendly service, family centered design and authentic Vietnamese cuisine to Detroit as they open the latest Pho Lucky location in the Midtown neighborhood. This location will be family’s fourth addition to their hospitality portfolio.
Open for just over a week, Pho Lucky’s first venture into Detroit has garnered praise and support from local food purveyors of cool such as Detroit News Food Critic, Molly Abraham to fellow culinary trendsetters. Located at 3111 Woodward Avenue, at the corner of Charlotte and Woodward, the restaurant’s secret to success is in its broth, served steaming hot with a special blend of spices boiled for eight hours and homemade noodles.
Phở (pronounced fuh) is the Vietnamese’s favorite dish made by simmering the flavorful broth for eight hours. The broth is served with noodles, beef, and other ingredients such as Asian basil, cilantro, chopped green onion, lime juice, and bean sprouts that can be added by the customer while dining. The restaurant will also serve summer rolls, spring rolls, and a variety of rice plates and vermicelli bowls. They will also offer delicious Vietnamese coffee (hot or iced) and tropical shakes. Later this month, Phở Lucky will have its liquor license and will be able to offer beer, wine, and other alcoholic beverages to its customers.
Pho Lucky is open Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Sunday from11:00 a.m. – 9:00 p.m. Tuesday from 11:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.; and Friday and Saturday from 11:00 a.m. – 10:00 p.m. Parking is available in the rear accessible from Cass Avenue.
