On Saturday, November 28, the Downtown Detroit Partnership, Detroit Experience Factory and the Build Institute will host The Second Annual
Build Bazaar and Shop Detroit. In celebration of the backbone of Detroit, its small businesses, this event will feature a marketplace
showcasing recent Build Institute graduates with goods ranging from clothing, accessories to specialty foods in addition to shopping tours
that explore Detroit’s neighborhood shopping centers. The event runs from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.
The Detroit Experience Factory (DXF) is providing two unique shuttle routes, starting in downtown Detroit at the DXF Welcome Center. Stops
include the Cass & Canfield district, the shops at the Park Shelton, the Fisher Building, the Livernois Ave. of Fashion and Downtown. Tour
guides will be on each shuttle to share stories about local businesses, historical facts and updates.
Can’t make it downtown? Or do you live in one of the described neighborhoods? Meet DXF at one of their neighborhood drop-off points
and they will take you to the other destinations around the city. Shuttles will be making rounds throughout the day.
The Build Institute and the Downtown Detroit Partnership have partnered with DXF to create Build Bazaar, a rotating pop-up
marketplace celebrating emerging entrepreneurs from the Build Institute. It will feature an exciting and diverse array of local
vendors selling products ranging from artisanal candles and soap to fresh baked goods and handcrafted jewelry in the atrium of One Campus
Martius throughout the day. Vendors such as Detroit Bikes, Motor City Soap Company LLC, Sweet Potato Delights, and Detroit Water Ice Factory
will be participating. This Build Bazaar is presented by Bedrock Real Estate Services and Meridian Health Plan with support from the City of
Detroit and M-1 RAIL.
